Camp Kiwanis on Pat Mayse Lake, Inc. was created in 1989 when the Paris Kiwanis Club was granted permission to reopen Forest Point by the U,S. Army Corps of Engineers. Forest Point was a 70 acre camp area that had been abandoned by the Corps since the early 70’s. Paris Kiwanis Club set up Camp Kiwanis on Pat Mayse Lake as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with the mission of transforming this deteriorated location into a safe camp atmosphere for social, educational, recreational, and cultural development of youth organizations from our community and surrounding area. Family reunions, church groups, youth groups, businesses and general public currently use Camp Kiwanis.
